Grammy nominated trio, Hanson, have announced the Canadian release of their fifth studio album, Shout It Out, on April 3, 2012.

“One of our biggest goals was to bring Shout It Out to our international fans. We are thrilled that we are finally releasing the album in Canada,” says keyboardist and singer Taylor Hanson.

Shout It Out pays homage to the music that inspired Hanson when they first started out, building a collection of finely crafted R&B- flavoured pop-rock melodies. The first single “Thinking ‘Bout Somethin’,” boasts a lively brass section with the group’s signature three-part harmonies. For the video, directed by Todd Edwards (Hoodwinked), the band re-created a much-loved scene from the cult classic The Blues Brothers, where soul music incited a huge impromptu crowd to dance in the streets. In their re-creation, Hanson took to the streets of their hometown of Tulsa with more than 300 extras, including two of Taylor’s children, 60 local dancers and hundreds of loyal fans who traveled from far and wide to participate.

Released in Canada as a dual CD and live DVD package, the album will include 12 original tracks along with Hanson’s Best of 5 Live DVD set which features live performances of the band’s most iconic songs from their five album catalogue.
