Vancouver artist Bre McDaniel announces the release of her debut full-length album Howl. Bre will celebrate her new album with a Vancouver release show on November 7th at The Railway Club.

Howl explores the notion of how we need the tonic of wildness. Musically the album is mainly lighter and upbeat – a mix of folk-pop, indie rock, and organic lo-fi textures with thoughtful weaving of intros, outros and interludes. And it’s also worth noting that the album was produced entirely by female identifying collaborators.

“It’s exciting to see the demand for female representation in music, and many recent projects are contributing to this conversation, such as Kinnie Starr’s documentary and Laura Marling’s Semper Femina album,” says Bre. “I want to add to this conversation from my community without hitting people over the head, instead I’m taking deliberate steps that cause people to celebrate and be curious about needed change.”

Howl is available on Spotify, Apple Music/iTunes, and other digital retailers and streaming services.  For more information and tours listings, visit: bremcdaniel.com
